Shearling x Floral Denim

If I could live in this coat... I swear I would. I got it last fall, free of charge, when I was working as a sales intern in a showroom, but it was an unfinished sample so the lining of the coat wasn't done and there was no seam in the back of it. Totally unbothered, because I was too busy envisioning all the looks I could get off with it, I took it home anyway, sewed up the lining and the back, and voila. Waiting for the perfect outfit to go with it, I stumbled across these floral 7 jeans and knew I could finally bring this gem out of the back of my closet. The coat is a statement in itself so I didn't need to do much of anything else with the look. I paired it with a metallic silver Alice + Olivia button down and one of my 5,000 pairs of black boots (obviously exaggerating but I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in that range). I challenged myself to only wear black in shoes/accessories and I surprisingly enough pulled it off. This was a fun break from being drowned in head-to-toe black.

I definitely need to rack up on some more colored-shearling coats for this F/W season.
