Dear Racists: Please Find a New Argument

I don't know about you guys, but from over here, it seems as if racists, bigots, and outright idiots use the same generic responses to rebuttal our complaints regarding the overuse of police force and the fact that black people are literally being slaughtered in the streets (and sometimes their own homes) and receive little to no justice at all... And quite frankly, I may actually lose my mind if I see another one of these ill-advised ass counterstatements:

"But what about black on black crime?"

I'm not sure how many times this has to be said but, first and foremost... BLACK ON BLACK CRIME DOES NOT EXIST. It's a conjured up concept and biased rhetoric that people use to excuse the blatant, senseless murders of innocent black folk. Criminals are more inclined to commit crime against people of the same race as them, and that's just the fact of the matter. And more importantly, adjacency is the main factor of crime; If black people are surrounded by a bunch of OTHER black people, the victims of crime will clearly be black. It's not "black on black" crime... it's just fucking crime. I've seen entirely too many people saying that "black people kill other black people more than cops do" or "black people only care that black people are dying when cops kill them" and I'm really struggling to find the correlation... truly. When a black person kills another black person they are swiftly arrested, brought to trial, and convicted, BUT when an officer murders one of us... well, we all know how that goes. Black people don't kill other black people for simply being black... It just does not happen.

"Go back to your country if ours is so terrible!"

Will you be providing flight expenses? Because I will... and gladly. No but seriously, I'm genuinely confused because how can you kick us out of a country that was never yours to begin with? Again, what I thought was common knowledge but obviously isn't, a white man (Christopher Columbus) didn't "discover" Amerikkka... he stole it from its original owners: Indigenous people and Ancient Kemetics. In the process of stealing their land, he raped, murdered, and enslaved an entire demographic of people, while simultaneously destroying their culture. I'm sure if we were to ask those who actually founded this country who should be the ones leaving, the answer would certainly not be black people.

"But more white people are killed by police than black people."

This one might be my all-time favorite... Because what exactly would you fucking expect when the United States is made up of only 13% black people, with white people being the majority at 63%? Comparing how frequently or how many white and black people are killed by police is completely pointless and improbable if you don't take the vast population difference into account. A black person is 2.5 times more likely to be killed by a cop than a white person. Black people are plainly killed at rates that are disproportionate to the nation's population. Out of all the unarmed people that were shot and killed by police in 2015, FORTY percent of them were black men, while black men only make up SIX percent of the U.S. population. Just let that sink in. That's almost half. Almost half of the unarmed people that lost their lives last year by the hands of a cop, were African-American men. So yes, white people are killed in larger numbers by police, but... not really.

I'm not sure how many more times we will have to dismiss these comments before it's understood that they're utterly baseless and do nothing but deflect from the evident issue at hand which is the mass murder of unarmed black people. So please, just cancel these defenses for your prejudice agendas all together... they're tired and so am I.
