Unexpected Additions

So apparently winter will be lasting for another 6 weeks and I cannot express the level of harsh disappointment that I am currently experiencing! I miss warm weather and the sun immensely and getting dressed in the morning has started to feel like a chore as opposed to something I’m looking forward to and I kind of hate it! But, alas, I must still get these looks off.

Bomb coats make dressing up when it feels like 2 degrees outside a little more enjoyable, and this coat is just that. I've been on a search for a coat that looked exactly like this but a longer version. I didn’t find that unfortunately, but I found this, saw that it was $15, and didn’t even think twice before buying it honestly. Not to mention that it’s one of my favorite colors to wear: olive. So I decided to do a sort of monochrome look. A turtle neck, blazer dress, and a puffer coat is a pretty unconventional pairing, but the combination of the coat and boots together gives the look some edge which I loved. It’s like an unexpected addition lol. If a look feels a little bleh, adding a piece that wouldn’t typically go with what you’re wearing is an ideal way to spice it up a little, and personally, one of my favorite things to do when dressing myself. I'm a firm believer that you can pull almost anything off as long as the confidence factor is there!
