1 Year Later x Post Grad Life

I cannot believe that a year has passed since I first launched my site. I'm seriously trying to figure out where the time has gone. As cliche as it sounds, I feel like it was just yesterday that I was starting my senior year of college. When you're in school, you envision or plan for your post-grad life to be a particular way. Things absolutely did not go as I planned, and I don't view that as a negative in the slightest. I mean I did at first, but now I can say it with complete content. Everything happens when it's supposed to and just because you are unable to execute your plans exactly when you want to doesn't mean they won't ever happen... they're just pushed back a little bit. I've mapped out my goals, set some very minor deadlines, and now I have more time to prepare so that when I do jump, I'll land on my feet and not flat on my face lol. You always gotta look for the positives in the negatives! The past month or so I've been working full-time in a position that I actually went to school for (and genuinely enjoy), doing a weekly podcast with a few of my friends that launched not too long ago (check it out here), and just doing some self-evaluation and soul-searching on what exactly it is that I want out of this thing called life... so yes it's been a while since I've been back here. I feel like I do more explaining of why I haven't been posting than actually posting lol but such is life and things happen... I'm here now and I couldn't let the 1-year anniversary of my site pass by without posting some new new! So now that that's out the way, I have to say, I was initially really sad that the summer is ending but once this week came around all I wanted to do was put on a turtleneck and other fall appropriate styles, but the weather just would not allow me to lol. So I settled for this crop top that I've had for literal years but never wore (similar to about 40% of the stuff in my closet). I've also come to the conclusion that whatever I'm wearing, at least one article of clothing will be from Zara because, I mean what's really better than them when you're ballin on a budget lol? And their new collection is actually to die for per usual. But anyway, yes, this skirt is from Zara and I loved that the checkered print had a hint of navy blue (that you can literally barely even see) as opposed to only being black and white. I paired it with this top to make that detail pop a little bit more. It's accenting small details like that one that can really pull a look together.
