"Nothing Haunts Us Like the Clothes We Don't Buy"
Firstly, Happy Black History Month! I myself embrace my blackness all year long, but it's nice to have a specific month designated to doing so. "A Seat At The Table" and "To Pimp A Butterfly" will definitely be heavily rotated for the month of February.
With that being said, I've just come to the realization that black boots are an inherent part of my outfits, (for the winter at least) and I'm perfectly fine with that. No matter how hard I try to stray away from wearing them to "switch it up", they somehow end up apart of my look. It's honestly bound to happen when someone (me) has 16 different pairs of them occupying their closet and won't stop buying more. But they're all special and necessary in their own way, I promise.
Nonetheless, I haven't worn these specific pair of black boots in ages and I thought it was about time they finally saw the light of day again. I paired them with cargo pants I got from Zara a couple days ago. I was kind of hesitant about buying these because I had just did A LOT of shopping the day before and I only went to Zara to make a return and ended up leaving with 3 new items. Despite my excessive shopping spree the day prior, I couldn't leave without them. Nothing haunts us like the clothes we don't buy! Take my word for it. I still think about a coat that I didn't buy 2 years ago and I regret it till this day. Moral of the story: if you see something you love, I mean REALLY love... buy it! Or it'll haunt you forever.
