Street Style With a Twist

I'm not much of a street style connoisseur, so I kind of tip-toed out of my style lane with this one. Although insanely rare, whenever I do wear hoodies or sweatshirts, I do it with sneakers for a dressed down, super casual look but I wanted to play with this outfit a little bit.

I love the length, fit, and texture of this skirt, not to mention the fact that I've been dying to wear it because it's something I wouldn't usually wear, so I figured I'd pair it with pieces that wouldn't conventionally go together. Matched with a thick, oversized leather jacket, gray sweatshirt, a leather purse that I bought in Italy (I bought it for my mom but kinda actually bought it for myself), and pointed toe sock booties.

Wearing pieces I wouldn't typically wear is certainly doable but I'm not quite there yet with completely stepping out of my neutral-tones-only comfort zone... but I'm getting there (not really)!
